The Source Of True Joy

REJOICE BECAUSE YOUR NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN HEAVEN!
Those are the words of Master Jesus. He was speaking to some of His disciples, who were rejoicing; because, in the cause of their preaching engagement, they were able to command, and to cast out demons! He also reminded them that He, Himself, was even a witness when satan was cast down from heaven!

Soul Searching Questions
What is it that gives you joy in this life? What is it that thrills you in life? What is it that gets you carried away? What is it that makes you to always forget that life on earth is temporary and fleeting? What is it that blinds your senses, and your spirit, to the truth that there is yet life after here?

What is it that encourages you to live, as if you are some kind of a god, as if you are larger than life itself, as if you are in control of what happens next?

Quick Reminder
Let me quickly remind all of us, that the next moment in our lives is what really counts. It can be so dramatic; it can alter everything about us, virtually everything!

The next breath you take can bring you down to nothing in life. At the same time, it can also lift you up beyond your wildest imagination. Yet that very breath can also be your last!

Be careful therefore, not to rejoice in fleeting and disappearing things, not to rejoice in things that will, sooner than later, slip away from you and from your memory forever.

The Glory Of This World Passes Away
You must learn to walk the earth, continually having it at the back of your mind that the glory of this earth passes away.

All the beauty, splendor and glory of this earth is as a vanishing cream, and no living or dead can stop the decay, none whosoever.
A man’s life, warns our Lord Jesus Christ, does not consist in the abundance of his earthly possessions. Yet, almost every living is in pursuit of the things of this life: as if they matter, as if life ends here and here.

Do The Will Of God And Move On
All that we owe God is to do His will on earth and then move on to be with Him. So, whatever He puts in your hands, make sure you make a success of it. His grace is forever sufficient for all things.

Try to maximize the wisdom and knowledge of God available to you for your God-given assignment. Be bold and courageous enough to fulfill your assignment on earth.
But, in all things always keep your eyes and hearts on Master Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our common faith.

The wisdom of This World Is Foolishness To God
The greatest mystery of this life is this, that even the wisest of this world, do not even understand what this life is all about. No wonder the scriptures posit that the wisdom of this life is utter foolishness to God.

For, “there is a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgment”. See Job 32:8-9.
Master Jesus is the Wisdom and the knowledge of God. And without Him, one only wallows in the misery of foolishness and darkness, even in the midst of light.
The truly wise man or woman, is that man or that woman, who knows Christ, who has received Christ as Lord and Savior, and who is pursuing eternal life with all his or her might, with all his or her soul, with all his or her life. He or she is the truly wise man and wise woman.
And mark that woman or that woman, for the end of him or her is always glorious.

Is God Your Confidence?
What gives you confidence? Where lies your hope? Where do your life assurances come from?
Do you build your hope on your earthly wealth, or on your connections, or on your great intellect or business acumen? What is it that exactly that drives your confidence?
Are you among them that thrive on self-confidence? If you are, I will show you what lies ahead of you. A day certain lies ahead of you, a day when your confidence in yourself will fail you. And that day, you will desperately seek for the true confidence. I pray it will not be too late.
For, “If, in this life, you have hope, then you are of all men, most miserable”. Those were the words of Apostle Paul as revealed to him by the Holy Ghost.
To build ones hope upon the affairs of this life is to build ones hope on sand, even on wind.

An Opportunity To Begin To Live and To Rejoice
Today is another great opportunity for many to begin to live: for a life without Christ is also a life without God, a life without meaning. A life without salvation in Christ is also a life without direction, a life without hope: and at the end it will amount to a wasted life.
And even for them that already know Christ, let me borrow the inspired words of Apostle Paul, and warn, that they must also live soberly, and in moderation: they must live in continual and relentless pursuit of eternal life; because only believers who endure till to the end shall be saved – those who endure till they give up this earthly tabernacle.
For one to be in Christ, and yet live and then die in sin, amounts to also living a wasted and a worthless life: and it is the greatest tragedy that can happen to any living.
All that are not yet saved in Christ must do so right now: accept Christ as Lord and Savior, and begin to live. Just call upon His name, and ask Him to save you, and you are saved. It is as simple as that: for WHOSOEVER shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
And for those already in Christ, I charge you AGAIN and AGAIN, and in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, borrowing again the words of Paul the Apostle: that your learn to endure hardness as true soldiers of our Lord Jesus Christ; because no man that is engaged in a war entangles himself with the affairs of this life. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life.

Rejoice, And I Say, And Always Rejoice: But Only In The Lord!
The joy of the Lord must be your ONLY source of strength, and your only source of peace. You must rest your hope on our Lord Jesus Christ, striving, to make sure, even doubly sure, that your name remains in the Lamb’s Book of Life till the end.
